I'm sure it looks good, sadly I can't see shit due to literally FOUR different kinds of obtrusive watermarks.
I mean I get this is about selling prints. But there's preventing unauthorized printing - and there's just being a prick to everyone who doesn't send you money. And in my eyes this crosses the line there.

Good day, sir.

Sounds to me like you're salty you can't use it to make some money yourself. If you can't see through the watermarks then you're pretty blind and I suggest you go get your eyes checked. :shakesalt:

Sounds to me like you're jumping to ridiculous conclusions in order to feel morally superior and justify your rude behaviour towards me. Pathetic.

No, I would never monetize someone else's intellectual property and I completely understand when artists say they want to watermark their work in order to make it impossible for anyone else to claim it as their own.
But I don't understand why someone feels the need to do this 4 times. At least the 3 semi-transparent ones are all impossible to remove on their own already.

And yes, of course I can see through them. But they are still there. And they are so distracting that I find it impossible to really enjoy the fine artwork behind them.

Well I have had my art stolen and reproduced many many different times without my permission, so in all due respect in this digital age there is no way for an artist to protect themselves from thieves, so I am sorry you feel that way.

I am very well aware of the reason, and I understand there needs to be some form of protection.
I just feel like this here is overdoing it. When the watermarks get so distracting that it gets impossible to really enjoy the actual work they're starting to be counterproductive.

But if you feel the need to be this destructive, go ahead. I am obviously in no position to tell you how to handle this subject.

lol destructive? It's his own art. He's free to do whatever he pleases - heck he can take it down if he wants to. Or watermark it extensively to prevent thieves from taking it and mass producing it on merch (which has happened countless times). Keep in mind that for a lot of artists this is their livelihood, they're not just scribbling on notebook paper as a casual hobby.

Do yourself a favor and tone down the hyperbole in your life...claiming that this is destructive and that it's literally impossible to 'enjoy' the artwork because of watermarks is too much. If you can't make out the artwork then simply put, you're blind.

oh for fu.. you know what's annoying? People who jump into conversations from the side line with their uninformed, but "super important" opinions trying to feel somehow superior or clever.
Lets see..

You said:

I said  in the comment you replied to (!):
"I am very well aware of the reason, and I understand there needs to be some form of protection."
and
"I am obviously in no position to tell you how to handle this subject."

See what I mean with "uninformed"? I KNOW why this was done, I KNOW it serves a serious purpose and I KNOW he's free to do it.
Apparently you didn't even read my comment before you hit reply... sad.

Everything else is basically a long way of saying "You're wrong, I'm right" - somehow implying opinions can be wrong or right.

Look, to make this simple:
If you can still enjoy this with all the protection - good for you.
For me it's at a point where it's too much of an annoyance. (And this is my own opinion. I'm free to think whatever pleases me - heck I can write it down if I want to)
And now excuse me, I need some sleep...

That was a whole bunch of words said, without really saying too much. But I can agree with you on one thing:

"I am obviously in no position to tell you how to handle this subject."
